Wilmington Baseball Set for Opening Round Playoff Game Versus Arlington
The winner of Wilmington versus Arlington will take on No. 2 seed Masconomet in the North Division 2 quarterfinal.
The Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association announced the remainder of its playoff pairings on Tuesday after squaring away the bracket for the first ever Super 8 tournament on Monday.
Thanks to a 13-7 regular season, the Wilmington High School baseball team earned a No. 7 tournament seed and a home game in the first round.
The Wildcats will host No. 10 seed and fellow Middlesex League foe Arlington in their opening contest of the North Division 2 bracket.
Wilmington's game is scheduled for Thursday, though a first pitch time was not released as of late Tuesday afternoon.
The winner of Thursday's contest will advance to play No. 2 seed Masconomet, which has a first round bye after an 18-2 season. That quarterfinal meeting is scheduled for Saturday.
