A 2007 graduate of Springfield College, I took over as the local editor for Wilmington Patch at the beginning of 2011. Prior to starting with Patch, I was an award-winning staff writer at Neighborhood News, Inc., based in Manchester, New Hampshire. At Neighborhood News, I covered board meetings, high school sports and anything that was interesting in the community. With Patch, I looks forward to providing in-depth coverage of breaking news, features and sports. I am also excited to meeting the people of Wilmington and showing them why Patch is their home for everything local.

I grew up in a small town in southern New Hampshire, and have always loved writing. Since the first day of classes at Springfield College (where I double-majored in Communications/Sports Journalism and English), I knew that I wanted to cover sports and news.

When I am not covering Wilmington, I love watching the Red Sox, Patriots, Celtics and Bruins, along with just about any sport that's on television. On weekends when the weather is nice, I play in a recreational softball league with friends and family.

This July, I will be getting married in New Hampshire to my fiance, who I have dated since high school.

Finally! WCTV has the "78th Annual Thanksgiving Day Classic Football Game" between the Wilmington Wildcats and the Tewksbury Redmen. As usual, a hard fought game, w/clock cam by John Cemina, Field Roving Cam by Tom Pazyra, and Executive Producer Daniel C. Howard on SkyCam. It should air after the NFL Super Bowl. It even has a Halftime recap of the 2010 game set to "Mystery Train" by David Keyes.

Matt,

The Wilmington Police Union will be holding a Thanksgiving Dinner at Deming Way on Sat Nov. 19th at 1:30pm. This is an event that the Wilmington Police Union puts on every year for the residents of Deming way, it would be nice to see an article on The Patch about this. Let me know, I should be their as well along with the Union President Officer Butch Alpers and other officers and volunteers as well. ~Thank you, Stacie Murphy, Chairman of the Housing Authority.
