High School Sports Season is Just Around the Corner

Believe it or not, fall sports season is just around the corner.

Though students are still clinging to the remaining month-plus of their summer vacation, tryouts for the upcoming season are just weeks away.

The Wilmington High School Athletic Department Parent/Athlete Meeting is slated for Sunday, August 19, at 6 p.m. in the school's auditorium. Then on Monday, August 20, the school will offer free sports physicals in the nurse's office. 

Boys will receive their physicals from 9-10 a.m. and girls can visit the nurse's office from 10-11 a.m. Athletes must have a copy of a phsyical that is no older than three months in order to try out.
