High School Sports Season is Just Around the Corner

Prospective Wildcat players will begin tryouts for various teams in August.

Believe it or not, fall sports season is just around the corner.

Though students are still clinging to the remaining month-plus of their summer vacation, tryouts for the upcoming season are just weeks away.

The Wilmington High School Athletic Department Parent/Athlete Meeting is slated for Sunday, August 19, at 6 p.m. in the school's auditorium. Then on Monday, August 20, the school will offer free sports physicals in the nurse's office.

Boys will receive their physicals from 9-10 a.m. and girls can visit the nurse's office from 10-11 a.m. Athletes must have a copy of a phsyical that is no older than three months in order to try out.

At WCTV we're looking forward to all the athletics coming this fall! We need volunteers to shoot these exciting events so that they can be on the air and online for all to enjoy! Students who tape these events for WCTV can also earn community service hours for their time. If you want your favorite team to be on the air, contact us at WCTV@wctv.org or (978) 657-4066 about volunteering!
