Foley's Hat Trick Vaults Wildcats to Comeback Win Over Tewksbury

The Wildcats trailed, 3-1, early in the third period but stormed back to end the regular season in style with a 5-3 victory.

A pair of Foleys proved to be the spark the Wilmington High School boys hockey team needed late in Friday night's game against border rival Tewksbury.

Senior captain Luke Foley jolted the locals with a hat trick and alternate captain Drew Foley made plenty of key saves to give the Wildcats the chance to complete a four-goal third period to stun the host Redmen.

Tewksbury scored nine seconds into the third period to take a 3-1 edge, but Luke Foley scored two of his three goals in the ensuing minutes to help the team to a 5-3 win.

Check back with Wilmington Patch first thing Monday morning for a complete recap and photos from the rivalry tilt.
