Nearly 300 Fans Visit World Series Trophy at Wilmington Middle School

A total of 295 residents came out to the see the hardware won by the local nine last year.

Several hundred Red Sox fans came to see the fruits of their favorite team's labors as the 2013 World Series trophy was on display at Wilmington Middle School on Friday afternoon.

The Wilmington Educational Foundation sponsored the event, which brought out 295 fans who were able to take photos of and with the trophy.

Volunteers Robert Hayes and Wilmington High School student Nick Raffi helped keep things running smoothly, along with staff members from the Red Sox, who kept an eye on the hardware and manned the many cameras and smartphones that captured the moment for visitors.
