Though there is plenty of time remaining for candidates to declare their intentions for Election Day, things are slow so far as the ballot begins to take shape.
As of Friday, the same three residents who pulled papers for two Board of Selectmen positions near the start of the eligible period remain the only trio to have done so.
Incumbents Michael Newhouse and Lou Cimaglia join Daniel Murphy as the three interested potential candidates who have pulled papers through the Town Clerk's office.
For School Committee, the three current board members whose spots are up for re-election have all pulled papers.
Robert Hayes, Margaret Kane and Kathleen Carroll all declared their intentions to run, though Hayes since announced that he will not be running for re-election.
That means that as of Friday, there are only two active candidates for three vacant School Committee seats.
In addition, Robert DiPasquale plans on running for Housing Authority and Robert Peterson pulled papers for re-election to the Shawsheen Regional Technical High School Committee.
Anyone interested in running on Election Day can visit Town Clerk Sharon George for more information.
