School Will Resubmit Turf Appeal, Installation Delayed

Town will submit proposal as a part of the entire project, instead of individually following appeal.

After a group of for the high school project, the town has withdrawn its turf proposal and will resubmit the stadium package as a part of the overall school project.

Because of the change, the turf will not be installed by August 20 as originally scheduled. Despite the adjustment, Superintendent of Schools Joanne Benton said she believes the project will be completed in September 2014 as planned.

The Department of Environmental Protection reviewed the residents' appeal and decided they could not fully investigate the matter, leading to the school's withdrawal, according to a press release from the school.
