Lowell Director Named Wilmington Assistant Town Manager

According to the Lowell Sun, Kendra Amaral will serve as Jeff Hull's replacement when he officially becomes Town Manager.

With Assistant Town Manager Jeff Hull set to take over as Town Manager for the retiring Michael Caira in one week, the town now has a replacement for Hull as well.

According to a report in the Lowell Sun, Lowell Department of Planning and Development for Development Services deputy director Kendra Amaral has been named Wilmington's new Assistant Town Manager.

When contacted by Patch, a Wilmington Town Hall representative said the appointment will be made official at tonight's Board of Selectmen meeting. The meeting will also include a public vote that will finalize Hull's contract.

"We congratulate Kendra as she advances her career to a higher level of municipal leadership," said Assistant City Manager and Director of Planning and Development Adam Baacke, according to The Sun. "It is not surprising that Wilmington has recruited someone with her talents and expertise. She will be missed by all of us at DPD and throughout the city."

The newspaper reported that prior to her employment in Lowell, Amaral was the Chief of Staff for Thatcher Kezer, Amesbury's mayor.
