Police Log: Golf Balls at a House and Ammunition on a Sidewalk

The following is an excerpt from the Wilmington Police log from Friday, Aug. 16, to Saturday, Aug. 17.
Friday, August 16
1:47 a.m.: Police were out with a driver on Lowell Street. Silas D. Williams, 26, of 3 Ledgewood Road, Wilmington, was arrested on an outstanding warrant.
5:58 a.m.: Damage was done to a vehicle on Andover Street sometime overnight.
10:40 a.m.: Officers assisted the Fire Department with smoke conditions in a home on Burlington Ave.
4:06 p.m.: Following a minor motor vehicle crash on Church Street a 39-year-old Lowell resident was summonsed for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.
Saturday, August 17
1:20 a.m.: One of the doors at Wilmington High School has a substantial crack in the glass. It appeared that a rock was thrown at the window, though it does not appear that entry was gained.
11:27 a.m.: A resident on Allen Park Drive found ammunition on the sidewalk. Officers retrieved the items and took them for disposal.
11:46 p.m.: On Grace Drive a resident said she believes someone was hitting golf balls from Nichols Street the previous night. She said a golf ball struck her house around 9 p.m. No damage was done to the house, but the caller wanted extra patrols in the area.
9:38 p.m.: State Police reported a fist fight in the break down lane of I-93 South near Exit 38. Officers located a vehicle with a person passed out in a vehicle, but the fight was unfounded.
