Late Wilmington Man Survived by Nieces, Nephews and Friends
John P. McCarthy passed away on July ninth at 92 years old.
The following is an obituary courtesy of Nichols Funeral Home.
John P. McCarthy, age 92, of Wilmington, died peacefully on July 9. John was the beloved husband of the late Ruth T. (Boitnott) McCarthy, cherished son of the late John & Mary C. (Crowe) McCarthy, dear brother of Dorothy Garofano of Braintree and the late Teresa Dunn and Mary Flaherty.
John is also survived by many nieces, nephews and good friends including his dear neighbors Lois & Frank Jason and Eileen & Guy Semonelli.
Family and friends will gather at the Nichols Funeral Home, 187 Middlesex Ave. (Rte. 62), Wilmington, on Monday, July 14th at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Thomas of Villanova Church, 126 Middlesex Ave., Wilmington at 10:00 a.m.
Interment to follow in Wildwood Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held at the Funeral Home on Sunday, July 13th from 1:00-4:00 p.m.
Memorial donations in John’s name may be made to the Charity of One’s Choice.
