The Wilmington boys basketball team holds its home opener tonight at 7 p.m.

1. Things are expected to warm up on Tuesday in town. According to Weather.com, temperatures will spike to 49° on Tuesday, though it will be a wet on. There is a 100 percent chance of rain on the day.

2. Two boards will hold meetings on Tuesday night. The Board of Health is slated for a meeting at 5:30 p.m. inside Town Hall, Room 9. Next up is the Board of Library Trustees, which meets at 7 p.m. in the Banda Room at Wilmington Memorial Library.

3. It's a busy basketball day in Wilmington and beyond. The boys team hosts its home opener with the freshman game at 3:30 p.m., the JV squad at 5:30 p.m. and the varsity highlighting the show against Lexington at 7 p.m. On the road, the girls team starts in Lexington with the freshman game at 3:30, JV at 5:30 p.m. and varsity at 7 p.m.

4. Story time will have an animal theme to it on Tuesday. Wilmington Memorial Library hosts Animals in Winter Storytime and Craft. The activity begins at 3:45 p.m.
