Child Development Center Being Built Behind Sonic

Opening date not yet announced for The Learning Experience.

The construction project underway at 220 Main Street has peaked the curiosity of Wilmington residents. So what exactly will be moving in to the building being built behind Sonic?

Though there is no opening date announced on the business' website, the Wilmington Planning Department confirmed that The Learning Experience will be the tenant once the construction is completed.

"Our center is currently under construction but will be open soon," a description on the company's website reads. "The Learning Experience is not just a daycare facility but also a complete child development center with a dynamic and fun environment that is committed to quality care and education of your child."

The Learning Experience offers child care for children ages six weeks to five years, and also features after school care for children up to eight years old. There are locations around the country, including Billerica, Chelmsford and Concord.

JAM Enterprises, LLC, based in Lynnfield is the owner of the lot in addition to being the owners of Sonic, according to the Planning Department.
