Chris Leonard has come a long way since the day he was diagnosed with cancer. His road to recovery led all the way to Fenway Park.

Nearly a decade ago, Leonard was diagnosed with cancer, and he's now been clean for eight years. He now helps raise money for cancer research as a part of the Pan-Massachusetts Challenge each summer.

On Saturday, he was honored during a survivor lap around Fenway Park. More than 30 riders slowly pedaled around the warning track starting in centerfield and ending at home plate, waving to cheering fans all along the way.

Though the local nine fell to the Milwaukee Brewers, 4-2, on the evening, the starting pitcher for the Red Sox was a fitting one - cancer survivor Jon Lester.
