Two Arrested for OUI and a Tanning Customer Allegedly Urinates on the Floor

The following is an excerpt from the Wilmington Police log from Wednesday, Aug. 7, to Friday, Aug. 9.

Wednesday, August 7

1:54 p.m.: On Glen Road a caller reported that while riding his bicycle he was struck by a town truck pulling into Town Hall. The caller wanted to speak with an officer, and the Fire Department responded to the resident's home.

4:45 p.m.: An employee at Ultra Zone tanning on Main Street reported that one of her patrons urinated on the floor inside the tanning room. The employee asked an officer to come and file a report.

Thursday, August 8

9:26 a.m.: Police received a call from Wabash Road reporting that a Home Depot employee at her home pushed her son. A second call came into dispatch from a Home Depot employee who said he was pushed and punched in the stomach by a male party at the address.

5:21 p.m.: A Swain Road caller reported a hit and run with a black sedan leaving the scene. Officers found minor damage done to the side mirror of the caller's car.

8:55 p.m.: Officers were called to a motor vehicle crash involving two cars on I-93 North near Exit 28. One vehicle was in the breakdown lane with injuries and another was in the high speed lane with injuries. Two people were transported to nearby hospitals with injuries.

Friday, August 9

2:40 a.m.: A resident on Burlington Ave. reported that the occupants of the unit above his were on their deck causing a disturbance. When he asked them to quiet down, they exchanged words and a beverage was poured through the deck onto his. Officers found the spill was accidental and peace was restored.

3:07 p.m.: On North Street a resident reported that a man attempted to kick in the door at a vacant home nearby. James F. McLaughlin, 23, of 33 Rosedale Street, Everett, was arrested and charged with felony breaking and entering of a building during the daytime.

8:32 p.m.: A single car crash with airbag deployment occurred on Aldrich Road. The Fire Department was dispatched to the scene and the driver was transported to Lahey Clinic. Samantha J. Peary, 45, of 4 Beaconcrest Court, Billerica, was arrested and charged with operating under the influence of liquor and marked lanes violation.

11:09 p.m.: Officers attempted to make a traffic stop on Burlington Ave., but the driver did not pull over immediately. Michael J. Parent, 48, of 5 Cleveland Ave., Wilmington, was arrested and charged with operating under the influence of liquor, failure to stop for police, two counts of failure to stop or yield, and negligent operation of a motor vehicle.
