Police Log: Three Arrested For Breaking Into Donation Depository

The following information is provided by the Wilmington Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.


Thursday, Sept. 12

8:25 p.m. An officer noticed a van at the clothes drop off box at 35 Lowell St. with its lights off. A male individual got into the drivers seat and drove up Lowell Street toward Lucci's Market. The vehicle pulled up to another clothes drop off box in the Lucci's parking lot. Three individuals were arrested for breaking into a depository and two were charged with larceny over $250:
  • Inacia D. Gardner of 27 Bowdoin St. Apt. 1, Boston, was arrested and charged with breaking into a depository and larceny over $250.
  • Belito T. Lopes of 5 Arion St. Apt. 2 Dorchester was charged with breaking into a depository and larceny over $250.
  • Manuel Lopes of 27 Bowdoin St. Apt. 1, Boston, was arrested and charged with breaking into a depository. 
Friday, Sept. 13

7:30 a.m. A Burlington Avenue resident reported three vehicles were keyed in the driveway sometime overnight. 

2:59 p.m. A West Street resident reported receiving a suspicious call offering a free identity card. The caller wanted his social security number and bank account number.

Saturday, Sept. 14

7:34 a.m. A Plymouth Road resident reported two cement trucks outside of a residence and requested they be moved or turned off until needed. An officer spoke with employees of Back Bay Concrete out of Wakefield and advised them not to idle vehicles when arriving early in the morning to a job site.

11:24 a.m. An employee at Main Street Consignment and Thrift reported a customer in the store possibly stole a necklace. The customer was still in the store. Responding officer performed a consent search of the female's purse but did not find the necklace. A no trespass order was issued to the individual.

11:27 p.m. A manger at CVS reported a male was eating an ice cream in the store and then proceeded to walk out without paying, leaving in a small white pickup truck traveling South on Route 38. The individual reportedly thought his girlfriend had paid for the ice cream, and he went back to the store to pay for it.

Sunday, Sept. 15

12:10 p.m. A caller reported a vehicle pulled into a lot on Horseshoe Lane and appeared to engage in illegal drug activity. 

1:43 p.m. A resident of Concord Street reported a neighbor drove close to his property causing him to feel threatened and he felt it was intentional. 

Monday, Sept. 16

1:30 a.m. Officers made a motor vehicle stop on Main Street . Antonio Dos Santos of 37 Edgar Street Apt. 2, Somerville, was arrested for operating under the influence of liquor, unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and speeding.
