ReplyWe would love to have some of these great athletes featured on WCTV! If you plan to be at one of the games bring your own camera (or one of WCTV's) and tape it! WHS students can receive community service hours by preserving these invaluable memories for the town. Tapes of WCTV sports can also be used for highlight reels or scholarship applications. If you'd like to share your footage with WCTV or learn more about taping games in general, email us at WCTV@wctv.org. Thank you!

On the article Question of the Day: Where Do You Volunteer in Wilmington?
WCTV
8:32 pm on Thursday, August 18, 2011
ReplySince I was a part of the WCTV Youth Outreach program, I've been a WCTV volunteer. Volunteers are responsible for all of the programming that airs on Wilmington Community Television, and the station is always looking for more. I always enjoy going around taping town events and meeting new people. In some ways, it feels like I'm contributing to the preservation of Wilmington's history, keeping a permanent record of the town's culture. Right now, WCTV is looking for volunteers who would be particularly interested in taping events at Wilmington High School--such as sports, plays, and other major activities. Without volunteers these programs will not be available for viewing and will not be on the channel. Volunteers can also earn community service hours for the high school graduation requirement and NHS membership. For more information about volunteering with WCTV email wctv@wctv.org. Thank you to all of those who have volunteered with WCTV in the past and continue to do so today.
