For years and years these abutters DID NOT COMPLAIN at some of the CRAZY things happening. Now it came too close to their homes and they spoke up, I am all about speaking up. I congratulate the abutters for speaking up, some with very young children. If you lived there and saw first hand the craziness around the carnival you wouldn't want it in your backyard either.

ReplyResidents voted, our voices were heard once again!!!! The People of Wilmington have spoken, Congratulations Wilmington!!!
Of course, Mr. MacDonald stated this;
“People sometimes go with the crowd,” said MacDonald. “If they attended the meetings themselves, which I don’t see a lot of people doing, maybe they’d really see what goes on in town.”
#1 People don't attend as many meetings in town because of one vocal resident, who has done nothing but bash the volunteers of town. After listening to him over and over again no wonder no one wants to attend.
#2 Run a nicer campaign-stop bashing people....if I was new to this town and saw what this vocal resident writes on comments I wouldn't vote for him either.
#3 Don't use state & town owned land for your signs.

Start going to meetings and encourage other companies to come to Wilmington, unfortunately we can't pick and choose what opens.
