ReplyOh my dear Kevin...you are assuming now that I do agree with anything that has to do with the schools....which I don't. I am paying for three high schools in three different towns and I only agree with one....which is not Wilmington. The one I do agree with has been in its current location since the 70's and has only had minor construction to it since. I agree it needs to be bigger and to do that they will have to move it to a new location...that I agree with. This....not so much. So please do not assume anything...it only gets you in trouble.

ReplyNow Kevin...I usually read your comments and just laugh them off...but come on...will not ruin this moment for this little girl and her family by dragging in your comments on the selectman. Just clam up already and let her enjoy her moment in the sun. Great job Lauren!! Some day we will hear your name being said that the Grammy awards!!!

ReplyI think this was the BEST article I have ever read from the Patch. Unfortunately these "Commissions" and "Planning Boards" are in every town, and every resident of this "free" country has to deal with them. They think they know what's best for the town and the environment, but they don't look around and see the trash all over the streets...or the fact that now when walking our dogs or children we have to look out for used needles. Maybe we have bigger battles to fight than whether or not someone wants to put up a pool that has a 10% chance of breaking and "polluting" the already polluted wetlands. You know the old saying....don't know their ____ from their elbow.

Agreed. Why not wait until after the kids are out of school...that way no one is in harms way. What will it mean for the annual 4th celebration....if it effects it at all?

ReplyVincent, as you said that was a long time ago.....things have changed. Roll with the times my friend. Publicity or not, those kids are going to feel better about themselves because they made someone feel good. Don't take that away from them with your comments. Didn't your mother ever tell you that if you don't have something nice to say then don't say it at all?

I can't believe how far SVTHS has come. When I went there it was "the school you went to if you didn't want to go to college" or "the blow off school". I am proud of SVTHS and all those that come out of it. Congrats to the 2013 graduates....never stop reaching for your dreams!!
