What Are Wilmington Residents Thankful For?

Some of your neighbors weigh in on what they feel blessed to have on Thanksgiving.

Do you ever wonder what your neighbors are thinking? Well, here at Patch we love to hear what people in Wilmington are thinking. Today, in honor of Thanksgiving, we thought it would be fun to talk to a few residents and share what, exactly, they are thankful for this year. For many people here in town, family tops the list when it comes to Thanksgiving. Eileen Mota sums it up in one sentence, “I am thankful for my beautiful daughter's and my amazing husband.” Former resident Patty Buckley Hersey added, “I am thankful for my two children. Start fasting. Thanksgiving is nearly one week away, and you're going to need every bit of your appetite for all the food you'll have in front of you next Thursday. Thanksgiving is a great holiday for many reasons. It brings family together, the Wilmington High School football team travels to border rival Tewksbury, and shops in the area open early the next day for residents to brave the crowds of Black Friday.
