Boys Track Team Continues to Progress
Wildcats are sub-.500, but still performing well.
Even if the results haven't always shown in the standings, the Wilmington boys track team has been running strong this season and hopes to continue improvement as postseason meets approach. The Wildcats were 1-3 heading into last night's meet in Wakefield, though two of those losses came by single digit points. Against Melrose on January 2, head coach Mike Kinney's charges were victims of photo finishes in the dash and hurdles, and as a result suffered a 43.5-42.5 setback. In another Recent meet with Stoneham, Wilmington put together a strong showing before falling, 46-40.
