Wildcats glad to claw out point in standings, but hoped for win.
The Stoneham boys soccer team dictated tempo on offense all afternoon, kept its energy at a high level until game's end and created the majority of the scoring chances against host Wilmington on Thursday. And yet, the Spartans left North Intermediate School with the exact same result as the Wildcats as the teams played to a 0-0 draw and added a one point to their respective resumes in the Middlesex League. Following the tie, head coach Steve Scanlon's charges improved to 1-1-1 in the early portion of the season.
