A large crowd of Wilmington residents came out to Town Common to pay homage to Veterans Day on Friday, participating in a ceremony that included a variety of speakers and members of the United States Armed Forces on hand. Members of the Wilmington High School band, Cub Scouts, Senator Bruce Tarr, Representative James Miceli and Veterans' Agent Louis Cimaglia were among those who honored military members past and present in front of Wilmington residents.

Festivities slated for 11:11 a.m. on Town Common.
Wilmington has a long history of support for the town’s members of the armed forces. On Friday, that support will be on full display with a Veterans Day ceremony. The town hosts festivities at 11:11 a.m. on Town Common, with several speakers and a short march to the venue from the 4th of July Building parking lot scheduled.
