Wilmington's newest childcare facility, which opened over the summer, hopes to reach full capacity by year's end.
Though The Learning Experience has been open less than a year, Wilmington's newest childcare facility continues to grow. According to owner Vaishali Mitta, the center is running at almost full capacity in seven classrooms, and they will continue to open additional classrooms as more teachers and children join. Mitta hopes the center will be at full capacity by the end of 2013, and said that because of the growth, they are always looking for new hires. "There is a lot of activity," she said. "We are growing at a steady pace."

The Learning Experience hoped to send the paper snowflake donations it received to the students of Sandy Hook Elementary School, but instead decorated the inside of its childcare facility.
Wilmington residents wanted to do their part in showing support for the town of Newtown, Conn., and they accomplished that. The only problem, however, is that the entire country has done its part as well. The Learning Experience coordinated a snowflake and paper heart drive, hoping to send the creations to Sandy Hook Elementary School to make the students feel back at home. But the response was so overwhelming, the town asked for a hault to donations. So instead, The Learning Experience decorated the entrance to their childcare facility on Main Street with the snowflakes in an effort to show continued support for Newtown.

Wilmington's recently opened childcare facility celebrated its grand opening with Chamber of Commerce representatives and town officials on hand on Saturday.
The Learning Experience, Wilmington’s newest childcare facility, has been open for about eight weeks now. But on Saturday, the company officially joined the Wilmington business community. Chamber of Commerce members and local officials were on hand for the grand opening ceremonies at The Learning Experience, celebrating a company aimed at molding the minds of young children. “It’s incredible to see the building now. We came in, not even a chair to sit on, and we built up,” said Center Director Jennifer Spear. “It’s important to have the support of the community, so it’s really great to have everyone come out for the grand opening.” The facility includes classrooms for ages six weeks to five years, along with after school care for children…

With construction complete at The Learning Experience, it's nearly time for opening day on Main Street.
For Vaishali Mitta, the start of the school year is particularly exciting. Mitta is the owner of the Wilmington location of The Learning Experience, which was constructed over the last year or so on Main Street behind Sonic, will open its doors for business on Monday, August 27. “There’s been a lot of progress,” said Mitta. “I have had a very good response from the town, and things are moving very fast. We have a lot of enrollment and a lot of leads, and the building came out the way I needed it to.” Mitta and her staff held an open house on August 18 at the early learning center, unveiling the facility to the public for the first time. Come opening day, The Learning Experience will begin with seven enrolled students, though that number is…

Construction is progressing as planned at site behind Sonic, says incoming childcare facility's owner.
Wilmington’s newest childcare facility is beginning to take shape. The Learning Experience, which is being built behind Sonic, remains under construction but is expected to open in July according to its owner. During a walkthrough of the building with Wilmington Patch, Vaishali Raghoji said the final permitting work will likely get underway in about June, setting the stage for the business’ opening its doors in July. “I really appreciate the work by the town. It was everything expected, as it was told,” said Raghoji. “We got all the permits quickly and everything was fine so far. We’ve had no issues at all to date, and we hope that continues.” Wilmington is the latest town set to open a Learning Experience franchise, as facilities in …
