New Frozen Yogurt Shop Opens For Business

Wilmington Residents Have a New Choice For Frozen Yogurt.

The temperatures are supposed to creep into the 60s next week. That makes it a perfect time to be thinking about frozen treats. Wilmington residents have a new option when it comes to frosty deserts, now that the Pink Melon has opened its doors. Owned by Cuong Bui, the Pink Melon opened for business on March 27. The shop features self-yourself frozen yogurt with a wide variety of flavors and toppings. The Pink Melon is located at211 Main St., in the Wilmington Crossing Plaza. The storefront is the same location that once houses K&A Cones. It is open Monday through Saturday, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sundays 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. For more information on the Pink Melon, you can check out their Facebook Page by clicking here.

New Wilmington Eatery Opens For Business

New restaurant is located just off Main Street.

There is a new entrant into the highly competitive world of Wilmington roast beef restaurants. Rizzo's Roast Beef & Pizza opened its doors at 3R Church Street on March 18. Owner George Rozopoulas said he has been very pleased with the reception the restaurant has received in the first week. "It's been a grand slam so far," he said. This is the third "Rizzo's" for Rozopoulas. He founded the chain in Peabody and Salem but has since sold the Peabody location. The menu features pizza, calzones, subs, sandwiches, pastas and more for eating in, take out or delivery. I think Rizzos is so good and sooooo clean! I think the owner has his own opinion to say what he likes and he really is just telling it how it is some of the other establishments are filthy so be thankful for great food and a great place to go to! Sunrise Bagels Moving to Wilmington

The bagel shop plans to move in May.

Sunrise Bagels is planning to move to Wilmington in May. According to owner Larry Cutts, they are closing their North Reading location and will not be a bagel shop when they open in Wilmington. The new shop will be open at 355 Middlesex Ave. in Wilmington. The Wilmington Selectmen voted to approve a common victualer license for the restaurant last week. Sunrise Bagels has been in North Reading for 22 years, and they were the only bagel shop around when they opened, Cutts said. "We hope a lot of our existing customers will make their way over," he said. They plan to change the menu up a bit in the new location, especially the breakfast menu, Cutts said.
