Wilmington Man Accused of Attempted Murder on Prostitute

According to the Lowell Sun, Jason Barakos was arraigned in December for an alleged incident that took place in Lowell.

An alleged November incident with a prostitute in Lowell has a Wilmington man facing attempted murder charges. According to a report in the Lowell Sun, Jason Barakos of 3 Nickerson Ave. pleaded not guilty to attempted murder charges in Lowell District Court following an incident that was reported to police on November 12. On that day, The Sun reports, officers were flagged down at a homeless shelter where a 27-year-old woman told police that about six weeks earlier, she had been working as a prostitute on Westford Street. The woman told police that a man had pulled up in his vehicle and said he was interested in business, but she said no to the price he offered.
