I love our pediatrician, I do. But sometimes she makes me feel like I'm doing everything wrong when I know I'm not. We went in to our 12-month-old check-up last week and were told that my daughter should be off the canned baby food, bottle, and formula ASAP. She gave me a sample menu for a 12-month-old and left me feeling like I had been doing everything wrong with my daughter's feedings. But after a week of studying this menu from the Foundations Family Nutrition in Cambridge, I have realized a couple things are wrong with it. First of all, it reads that a 12-month-old child only needs 8 ounces of milk (all within the first half of the day) and none again all day long.
