As the Wilmington High School boys hockey team holds its end of the year banquet tonight, we look back at the Wildcats' run to the school's first ever title.

It was a season Wilmington High School boys hockey players aren't likely to forget any time soon. And on Wednesday night, the team will get together to relive its magical run one more time. The team, which won the school's first ever hockey state championship earlier this year, holds its end of season banquet tonight at 6:30 p.m. inside Tewksbury Country Club. In honor of the event, we provide you with a video look back at how the Wildcats skated their way into the Wilmington history books.

Wilmington Scores More Hockey Hardware

A group of local mites won the MVC Cup with an overtime goal.

Editor's Note: The following information was provided by Wilmington Youth Hockey. The Breakaway Ice Center was the sight of the Mite level MVC Cup tournament this past weekend. Teams from around the Middlesex Valley would battle for the title. Twelve of Wilmington’s best mite level players from various teams in the area came together as one to represent the town. Wilmington's 7- and 8-year-olds drew Andover, Greater Salem and Masco in the preliminary round, easily the toughest qualification group of the three.  The Andover game was a back and forth affair with each team gaining a one goal advantage at one point during the game.
