Woman Allegedly Drove Drunk With Three Children in Car
Wilmington Police charged a resident with operating under the influence and child endangerment while operating under the influence after a weekend traffic stop.
What started off as a standard check on an erratic operator took what police called a concerning turn over the weekend when an officer discovered the driver of the vehicle was allegedly driving under the influence with three children in the car. Wilmington Police Lieutenant Joe Desmond said officers received a call from a motorist reporting an erratic operator in the area of Burlington Ave. on Saturday night at about 10:55 p.m. An officer responded to the area and pulled behind the described vehicle.
