Candidates Gather At Town Democratic Committee Scholarship Breakfast
Event attracts local candidates and state officials.
It's said that the only thing that attracts a politician more than a chance to grab a microphone is a chance to grab a microphone AND enjoy a delicious meal. Such was the case Saturday, as local candidates and state officials gathered at Rocco's for the annual Wilmington Democratic Town Committee Scholarship Breakfast. All three candidates for the Board of Selectmen -- incumbents Lou Cimaglia and Michael Newhouse and challenger Kevin MacDonald, attended and spoke at the event. Three of the candidates for School Committee -- incumbents Peg Kane and Kathleen Carroll and challenger Julie Broussard, also attended and spoke.
