Readers Select Best Mother's Day Restaurant

This week's poll came down to two local brunch locations.

This week's Best of Patch Readers' Choice was a two-restaurant race. But in the end, it was The Country Chef Restaurant that was victorious. Wilmington Patch readers narrowed down the options for the best place to go for a Mother's Day brunch to The Country Chef and As Good As It Gets. With all the votes tallied, The Country Chef earned 15 selections while As Good As It Gets received 9 votes. The Country Chef was in the running a few weeks back for the best breakfast in Wilmington, though As Good As It Gets eventually took the vote. Patch Readers Select Best Florist

Designs by Don takes the vote with 24 selections.

Wilmington residents have spoken, and Designs by Don is the best place to buy flowers according to Patch readers. In our latest Best of Patch Readers' Choice, Designs by Don received 24 votes, running away from Market Basket, which was second with 11 selections. “There are a lot of online companies, and a lot of people who work for them don’t even know what a flower is when they’re taking orders,” said owner Don Hill in a previous Patch story. “We always make our custormers happy. Winner of a Close 'Best Of' Battle is Revealed

Find out whose breakfast tops all, according to Wilmington Patch readers.

It was a close battle throughout the week, but in the end one breakfast spot came out on top. After the leading vote getter in our latest Best of Patch Readers' Choice changed nearly every day after we posted the poll on Monday, Wilmington Patch readers selected As Good As It Gets as the best place to eat breakfast in town. The Country Chef Restaurant held the lead at several points during the week. But its 120 votes were not quite enough to fight off a late push from As Good As It Gets, which tallied 134 votes in the poll. Winner for Best Sports Store is Chosen

Play It Again Sports in North Reading takes the honor for best sporting goods store in the area.

For this week's Best of Patch Readers' Choice, Wilmington residents went outside of town lines as they made their selection. North Reading business Play It Again Sports took home the honors with a total of 14 votes, edging out The Sports Authority in Woburn's nine tallies. A total of six readers selected Wilmington's Cooke's Skate Supply while Wilmington's Olympia Sports received three votes. A big attraction to Play It Again Sports is that the shop features both new and used equipment. "At Play It Again Sports, customers may earn cash for used sports gear, trade up for another sports line, buy new items, consign or donate," the description of the Play It Again Sports directory listing reads. A Close Race in Tax Poll

The votes are in and Wilmington residents say they go to Brisbois Capital Management to prepare their taxes. Brisbois Capital Management won our Best of Patch Readers' Choice Poll with 20 votes.
