The Town Hall was once an elementary school but the 19-acre complex now includes Robert Palmer Park, trails and the surrounding woods. 
Department of Public Works

If you're driving on it chances are the Wilmington Department of Public Works is responsible for it. ThisMore department handles all construction, maintenance, repair and clean-up of all the roads, catch basins, drainage systems, sidewalks and traffic and street signs. And when winter weather hits, the Highway Division of the DPW is also responsible for all the salting, sanding, and plowing to keep the streets safe. The DPW also performs the town waste and recycling management.
Planning and Conservation Department

The Planning and Conservation Department consists of two operations, the Planning Board and the Conservation Commission.More The Conservation Commission is tasked with conserving the wetlands, whereas the Planning Board distributes and manages the public land of the town. Both operations meet once a month in Town Hall. Carole Hamilton is the 2010 Director of the Planning Board and the Planning and Conservation Department.
Board of Selectmen

As the town's chief elected officials, the Board of Selectmen are tasked with appointing major town officials as wellMore as issuing licenses like alcohol licenses. The officials that the Selectmen — who serve on a part-time basis — appoint are the Town Manager, the Board of Appeals, the Town Counsel and the Town Accountant.  

Louis Cimaglia, IV, is the chairman. Other current members include Michael L. Champoux, Raymond N. Lepore, Michael V. McCoy and Michael J. Newhouse.
