Silver Lake
(978) 658 - 4270
Silver Lake was once a popular summer resort destination for area residents. Today, residents can enjoy the sandy beach and tepid waters off Grove Street for free during the summer. Non-residents are charged $5 per person between Memorial Day until mid-August, but there is another free beach (baby beach) right off Main Street that many non-residents flock to. During the winter months many children take to ice-skating and playing ice-hockey on the 28.5-acre lake, while adults go ice fishing. The town tests the water quality weekly during the summer months.
