Shawsheen Elementary School offers 23 classes from grades one through three, including two special education classes. There is a library, media center, music room, art room, gymnasium and cafeteria. The school also offers extended hours and the C.A.R.E.S. program for both before and after school, as well as the foreign-language based program called Global Kids. There is a large park, playground, skate-park and outdoor sports facility open to the public adjacent to the school as well. It is located on Church Street near Adams Street.
