While Paint-n-Play supplies the tools, customers supply the creativity. This store carries a variety of plaster pieces, including simple homewares, plaques and figurines. Customers then use the workshop's non-toxic acrylic paints and sealers to create original pieces.
As kids enjoy crafting away, parents can either paint a piece themselves or sit by and enjoy a cup of coffee or tea. A private studio is available for kids' craft parties. Party rates are available on its website.

- What makes this community special?: Wilmington is a big Family town. The kids and families are loving that Paint -n- Play is in their town. Also getting a great response from neighboring towns too.
- Any tips for first-time crafters?: I honestly try to work with every kid when they come through the door. I am a MOM in my town and want to know all the kids and the families too. I make it my personal goal to make every kid feel special here.
