As the town's chief elected officials, the Board of Selectmen are tasked with appointing major town officials as well as issuing licenses like alcohol licenses. The officials that the Selectmen — who serve on a part-time basis — appoint are the Town Manager, the Board of Appeals, the Town Counsel and the Town Accountant.
Louis Cimaglia, IV, is the chairman. Other current members include Michael L. Champoux, Raymond N. Lepore, Michael V. McCoy and Michael J. Newhouse.
