BODYMECHANIX This Summer

In past years, our participating athletes saw measurable advancements in areas of speed, endurance, strength, flexibility, balance and power.

White’s Physical Therapy, LLC of Wilmington is offering BODYMECHANIX again this summer.

In past years, our participating athletes saw measurable advancements in areas of speed, endurance, strength, flexibility, balance and power.  We saw several promotions from JV to Varsity and saw Varsity athletes go on to play in college programs.

During our four week program, athletes 14 and older work to develop the skills necessary to improve their performance, reduce the risk of injury, and learn how to take care of their bodies’ needs while maintaining a rigorous training program. “This is win-win for all Athletic Programs” says Doug White, owner and principle athletic trainer and physical therapist at White’s Physical Therapy. “It is important to develop the six components of strength and conditioning to maximize fitness levels and minimize overuse and sport related injuries.”

Although rehabilitation of injuries in the physical therapy clinic is the main focus of his business, Doug’s true passion is running the strength and conditioning program each summer.

“I really enjoy the preventative aspect of sports medicine, and it is quite exciting to take athletes of various proficiencies and assist them to achieve the next level of ability,” says Doug.

White’s Give-Back program offers local sports booster programs an opportunity to raise money to support their athletic department. When 5 or more athletes from one team sign up for this summer’s BODYMECHANIX performance enhancement program, White’s will give 10% of those proceeds back to that sport’s booster program!

“We realize the cost parents face with having a child in an athletic program year after year, therefore we like to help make it possible for more kids to develop their talents.”
