iPods for Wounded Veterans Organizes Fall Trip

Non-profit organization seeks residents to travel to visit military monuments in Washington, D.C.

is planning its latest tourist event, and the non-profit organization is looking for travel partners.

The group organized a trip to Washington, D.C., for the third straight year, providing residents the opportunity to visit military monuments at a minimal cost.

This year's trip departs from the WCTV studio at 6:30 a.m. on October 5, and returns on October 7. Participants will travel in a luxury coach bus and make trips to monuments such as the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, Iwo Jima Memorial, the National Air and Space Museum and more.

Residents can make the trip for $219 per person for a double occupancy room, $299 for a single occupancy room and $209 for a triple occupancy room at Crowne Plaza Hotel.

Spots on the trip are available on a first come, first serve basis, and past trips have filled up quickly.
