Shredding Truck at Community Fair on September 24

Library's Second Annual Community Fair offers free paper shredding

Clean out your files and get ready to have them shredded for free!   The Proshred shredding truck (sponsored by the Friends of the Library) will be at the Wilmington Memorial Library’s 2nd Annual Community Fair, Saturday, September 24 from 10 am to 1 pm.  The truck will be located at the parking lot next to the Fourth of July Building across from the Town Common.  This is a safe way to dispose of your confidential papers.  You simply drive up to the truck and shredding is done on site. The shredding truck will be there rain or shine so start gathering your documents to be shredded now. After dropping off your papers, plan to spend time at the fair where you can visit 30 non-profit organizations.  This is an opportunity to learn about services offered to the community as well as find out about volunteer opportunities.  Vendors from the Farmers Market will be on hand as well.  Other activities include free henna tattoos, music, face painting, a cake decorating contest in honor of Wilmington’s birthday, a children’s craft and story time and a chance to win an e-reader.  Donations for the Wilmington Food Pantry and Local Heroes will be accepted at the fair.  Visit the library’s web site  to learn more about the Community Fair.
