Scenes From Family Day at Fun on the Fourth

Family Day included train rides, face painting, a 3-legged race, dunk tank and more.

Wilmington residents flocked to the Town Common on July 4 to take in Family Day and enjoy the continuing Fun on the Fourth celebrations.

There were countless activities for kids, adults and even babies.

There was family wiffle ball, face painting, balloon animals, 3-legged races, a doll carriage and bike parade, tug of war and more for children to enjoy.

In the Fourth of July headquarters parking lot, kids and adults could take rides on the Trackless Train or try to send town officials for a swim in the dunk tank.

Festivities continue in the afternoon with a wheelbarrow race, water balloon toss and performance by the Keep It Real Band.

The night will be capped off with the first of two fireworks displays this week.
