Wildcats Edged in Shootout During Marathon North Final

Wilmington fell one game shy of a third straight state title berth after the 4-3 loss to Reading in 11 rounds of shootouts.

It felt like the game would go on all night. Unfortuantely for the Wilmington boys hockey team, it ended suddenly in the 11th round of the shootout.

Reading outlasted the Wildcats in an epic North Division 1 final at the Tsongas Center in Lowell Monday night. With the victory, the Rockets advanced to face Braintree in the Division 1 state championship game.
