Alumni Field Rededicated Ahead of Wildcats Season Opener

The Wildcats lost a close game 7-6 to Winchester following the rededication ceremony.


In the midst of the new Wilmington High School construction, the Wilmington Wildcats fell to the Winchester High School Sachems 7-6 on Thursday.

Before the game, a brief ribbon cutting ceremony was held for the field at Alumni Stadium. 

Town Manager Jeff Hull, Former Town Manager Michael Caira, Selectmen Chair Mike McCoy and Superintendent Joanne Benton were joined by students in cutting the ribbon.

The next varsity Wildcats football game is Friday, Sept. 20 against Arlington Catholic High School at Wilmington High School at 7 p.m.
