WMS Teacher Passes Away Unexpectedly
Seventh grade teacher Doug Chernovetz died unexpectedly this weekend.
The Wilmington school community is mourning the loss of a popular social studies teacher who died over the weekend.
As of early Monday morning, few details were available, but one school official confirmed that Doug Chernovetz, a seventh grade social studies teacher, passed away this weekend.
A Facebook page called R.I.P. Mr. Chern already had more than 400 followers as of early Monday morning. Many expressed their shock and sorrow in posted messages.

Wake and funeral arrangements have not yet been announced.
It has been a difficult few months for the Wilmington Middle School community, after his unexplained collapse earlier this summer.
