School Committee to Discuss 1:1 Technology Program Tonight

Members will discuss how to begin integrating laptop or iPad learning into the district, along with other agenda items, during a Wednesday night meeting.

School Committee members will discuss a 1:1 learning pilot program and other items during their final meeting of the summer, which is slated for 6:30 p.m. inside the library.

Superintendent of Schools as a way to help students continue learning in the 21st century.

Also on Wednesday's agenda will be a discussion with Mike Gilbert of the Massachussetts Association of School Committees on a number of items.

Following that portion of the agenda is Benton's Superintendent Report. During her report, Benton will touch on personnel, the opening of school, professional development and more.

Benton said earlier in the week that she will present School Committee members with a list of the district's new employees during Wednesday's meeting.

Under new business, members will speak on policy updates, the Superintedent's goals and system goals for the upcoming school year and the pilot 1:1 device program.
