Freedom Trail Comes to Shawsheen Elementary
Students had the chance to act out American history thanks to the Freedom Trail Foundation and Massachusetts Teachers Association.
Students learn about history on a regular basis. But earlier this month, Shawsheen Elementary students had the chance to act it out.
The Freedom Trail Foundation and Massachusetts Teachers Association combined to bring history to life at the school. Freedom Trail Players acted out American Revolution history with the help of the students, who had the opportunity to dress in costume in front of their fellow classmates.
Participants were able to read portions of important documents and declarations, and react to historic events along with the professionals.
