Community Invited to Meet Superintendent Finalists

With Joanne Benton retiring, Wilmington is close to naming her replacement.

The search for Wilmington's next Superintendent of Schools is down to three. And school officials want the community to be involved in the process.

Residents are invited to attend upcoming candidate receptions with the three finalists, while the replacement for the retiring Joanne Benton will likely be named soon.

The first reception will take place on Tuesday, April 15, with candidates then visiting the district the next two days as well.

Each reception will take place in the Wilmington High School library from 6-6:45 p.m.
