What Did the Town Spend on Last Week?

The town cut 235 checks last week.


Each week the town spends money approved in the annual budget for everyday expenses and, each week, Wilmington Patch will be running a new feature, highlighting a handful of these expenses for our readers' perusal.

The following is a small sample of who the town paid, how much they paid them, and for what reason. Check back each week for more line items out of the town's budget.

In total, the town cut 235 checks for a total of $6,140,678.80. Here are a few of those payments: 

  • The town paid $1,170,100 to Blue Cross Blue Shield for health insurance premium.
  • The town paid $49,807.84 to Global Montello Group Corp. for heating fuel for town and school buildings.
  • The town paid $25,495 to MIIA Property and Casualty Group for property insurance coverage.
  • The town paid $7,953 to Petroleum Management Services for labor and equipment to repair Veeder System.
