What Did the Town Spend on Last Week?

This week the town cut 190 checks.


Each week the town spends money approved in the annual budget for everyday expenses and, each week, Wilmington Patch will be running a new feature, highlighting a handful of these expenses for our readers' perusal.

The following is a small sample of who the town paid, how much they paid them, and for what reason. Check back each week for more line items out of the town's budget.

In total, the town cut 190 checks for a total of $915,130.24. Here are a few of those payments: 
  • The town paid Arcadis US, Inc. $6,500 for the Church Street water main replacement.
  • The town paid Baker and Taylor Books $4,358.14 for books for the Wilmington Memorial Library.
  • The town paid TZE Contractor Supply $4,050.64 for a fire hydrant connection for the Church Street water main.
  • The town paid Police Survival Equipment Co. $3,969.95 for wniforms for the Wilmington Police Department.
  • The town paid Astro Chemicals, Inc. $2,700 for chemicals for water treatment plants.
