What Did the Town Spend on Last Week?

The town cut 254 checks last week.


Each week the town spends money approved in the annual budget for everyday expenses and, each week, Wilmington Patch will be running a new feature, highlighting a handful of these expenses for our readers' perusal.

The following is a small sample of who the town paid, how much they paid them, and for what reason. Check back each week for more line items out of the town's budget.

In total, the town cut 254 checks for a total of $2,615,381.17. Here are a few of those payments: 

  • The town paid $1,510,187 to Gilbane Building Company for construction of the new Wilmington High School.
  • The town paid $25,294.18 to Dennis K. Burke Inc. for fuel for town vehicles.
  • The town paid $45,186 to Wheelabrator North Andover for rubbish collection and disposal.
  • The town paid $9,474.52 to Holland Company for chemicals for water treatment plants.
  • The town paid $6,964 to Vision Government Solutions for annual property assessment.
