Selectmen to Hold Final Meeting of 2012

Monday night's meeting, set for 7 p.m. inside Town Hall, will be the final session until January.

Wilmington's Board of Selectmen will meet for the final time this year on Monday night, with six appointments on the agenda for the meeting.

First up at the meeting, which begins at 7 p.m. inside Room 9 of Town Hall, is Joseph Gleason of Verizon New England. He is requesting that Verizon and Reading Municipal Light Department place one pole on McDonald Road.

George Rozopoulas is the next appointment for board members. Rozopoulas seeks a common victualer license for a property located at 3R Church Street under the name Rizzo's Roast Beef and Pizza.

Three other requests are before the board next. Robert DePesa doing business for Focaccia's Restaurant is seeking a common victualer license and an entertainment license for the 2 Lowell Street business.

The final appointment of the night is with Ken Gordon, the recently elected State Representative for Precinct 3 in Wilmington. He will be on hand for an introduction to residents.

After a variety of correspondences, selectmen will also consider the request to run the Farmers Market from June 16 through September 30 on Town Common.

The final agenda item is a list of licenses that the board will consider approving.

Check back during the meeting for updates and on Tuesday for complete coverage.
