Olin Chemical Superfund Site Meeting Scheduled for June

There will be updates on private well testings and organizers say what happens next depends on community input.

Groups sponsoring a meeting about clean up at the Olin Chemical superfund site said the next steps will depends on the amount of community input received during an upcoming meeting.

Residents received word recently that a meeting has been scheduled for June 10 at 7 p.m. inside Wilmington Middle School.

The meeting is sponsored by the Wilmington Environmental Restoration Committee, the Environmental Protection Agency and the Town of Wilmington.

"Your community needs you," a flyer about the meeting says. "What happens next may depend on the extent of community input."

During the session, there will be an update on private well testing, and residents will be asked to weigh in on the future of the site and the impact it will have on the community.
